Common Massage Questions and Answers

Q: Will I need to fill out paper work?

A: New Clients are required to fill out a intake form which includes heath condition questions, Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.

Q: Who performs the bodywork?

A: A Professional licensed massage therapist

Q: Will I be completely undressed?

A: Most massage techniques are performed with client disrobed; however, you may decide what amount of clothing in which you are most comfortable. You will be properly draped, with a full length sheet to ensure you from being exposed or chilled.

Q:  May I request not to be draped?  I have been to other establishments and they have allowed this.

A:  No.. It is the law here in Nevada that certain parts of the body should not be exposed, no exceptions! You may request to have a full sized bath towel as a cover, as long as it covers the chest to mid thigh.

Q:  Are the rooms private?

A:  Yes, only the client and massage therapist is in the treatment room.  Client is led to a treatment room where he/she can disrobe in private. Each room is equipped with a sink with hot and cold running water, if the client wishes to freshen up before or after their massage. 

Q: What should I do during my session?

A: Relax! The only thing you will need to do is when it's time, is to turn over. Many use this time to  use visualization techniques while listening to soothing music to relax, some like to talk or "vent" It's your time, and that is up to you. Feel free to ask questions regarding your massage and be sure to let the therapist know if he/she needs to adjust the pressure or temperature of the room.

Q: What do I expect after my massage?

A: Majority of people feel relaxed / refreshed after a massage.  Occasionally some people experience post massage soreness the day after their massage. Don't worry, most people feel a great reduction of their original muscle tightness and/or pain after the delayed soreness resolves itself.  Here is a weblink to some important information that may be helpful http://www.spa-synergy.com/aftermass.htm

Q.  If I book one hour do I get a whole hour?

A. yes, if you book 60 minutes you get 60 minutes, unless you are late for your appointment, then the time will have to be adjusted and client is asked to pay for the whole treatment. We have 15, 30, 60 and  90 minute massage sessions.

Q. Will you bill me if I'm a no call no show?

A. Yes, you will be billed for the time slot, you scheduled for.  All therapists are independent contractors and their income depends on their clients showing up. A twenty four hour notice of cancellation is required.
